The brain fix.

Wanna be successful?

Here’s how…

Get good at being boring!

Now, why the hell would you wanna get good at that? You may be wondering.

Before I share my two cents, I'd like to acknowledge that this idea was sparked by @markmanson's weekly newsletter. If you don't already, do yourself a favour and check it out.

Why do you think so many people fail at solving their problems? Is it a lack of knowledge? A lack of resources? Absolutely not. We are living in the information era, baby. Ignorance is no longer a valid excuse.

The problem many of us face is that once something starts working, or once we start getting bored with the process, our mind goes into panic mode (this is largely unconscious) and we start chasing other methods. We spend our time and energy looking for cheaper, faster, and more guaranteed ways to get what we want. We do all of this instead of just being boring and doing the work.

Make no mistake, doing the work is boring. There's nothing glamorous about going to the gym every day, staying home and cooking a healthy meal, practicing OMAD, or going to sleep early and waking up early. There's nothing sexy about saving money and living below your means. There are no wild stories that come from staying in for the night with a good book and doing some honest thinking. All of that shit is boring.

But what's the result after all that boredom?

Success.

Success is on the other side of boredom, friends. Success is on the other side of the countless hours of showing up and doing the work. Success is a byproduct of being boring for an extended period of time

And that is why so few of us succeed and why so many of us fail.

Get good at being boring. Your success depends on it.
